FAQ
Are the sessions free and is registration required?

Yes! Participation in Small Talk is free thanks to the support of our partners and donors. Registration is required to get the online link or reserve an offline spot, and to access materials after the event. Once registered, you’ll receive an email confirmation and a reminder before the session. Spaces are limited: up to 50 participants online and usually 25–60 offline depending on the venue. Simple rule: first come, first served.

How can I submit a question or case in advance?

There’s a field in the registration form to briefly describe your question or case. After registering, you can also send details to the email provided in the confirmation message — format: context — question — desired outcome. Moderators group submissions by topic and select 3–5 most representative cases for discussion. All examples are anonymized, and any sensitive information (financials, personal data) is only shared with written consent.

Will recordings and materials be available after the session?

Yes, with speakers’ consent, video recordings will be available after the session, and links will be sent to all registered participants. Materials include presentations, checklists, document templates, and useful links. You can use them for personal or internal organizational purposes with proper attribution; public sharing without permission is not allowed. Taking personal notes is fine, but audio/video recording on your own devices is only allowed with organizers’ and speakers’ consent.

Can I suggest a topic or become a speaker?

Yes, we welcome new ideas and voices. Submit your topic via the registration form or by email with the note “Small Talk Topic”. Briefly describe the problem, target audience, expected outcome, and 3–5 key questions for discussion. If you want to speak, include a short bio (700–900 characters), 1–2 examples of previous talks or publications, your proposed topic, and 3 learning outcomes.

Selection is based on practical relevance, alignment with social enterprises and civil society, and absence of direct advertising. Formats include solo talks (20–25 min), panel discussions (30–40 min), Q&A moderation, or a short case slot (7–10 min).
