On May 19\u201321, 2026, the international COOPOWER Peer-Support Progress Workshop, First-Year Review & Study Visit took place in Bratislava, Slovakia, within the framework of the international COOPOWER project. The event was organized by the Slovak Business Agency (SBA).<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the course of three days, representatives of 9 partner organizations from 8 countries, Associated Strategic Partners, and representatives of the MA\/JS gathered to review the results of the project\u2019s first year, exchange practical experiences, and coordinate the next stages of implementation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The program included peer-support workshops between international partners, presentations of pilot initiatives and good practices, coordination meetings focused on the future implementation of COOPOWER, as well as a study visit to the Community Centre and Clubroom in Plaveck\u00fd \u0160tvrtok.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the study visit, participants explored practical models of community centres and youth clubrooms working with young people and vulnerable groups. Particular attention was given to tools for social integration, digital skills development, non-formal education, and the creation of local youth support ecosystems.<\/span><\/p>\n

A key focus of the meeting was international knowledge exchange and the search for effective youth support models that can be adapted across different countries and communities. Participants discussed how peer-support, mentoring, and partnership-based approaches can strengthen youth engagement, create safe spaces for development, and support young people in the process of social integration.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result of the meeting, partners aligned on the next implementation steps of the COOPOWER project, further coordination of international cooperation, and the development of shared tools for supporting youth and vulnerable groups.<\/span><\/p>\n
